Colleges love a Midland application because they know that Midland candidates are already adept at being self-driven scholars, can manage time effectively, and know how to take care of themselves. PLUS, admissions people recognize that Midland graduates have done something truly remarkable for high school, and are not afraid of taking risks and challenges. They know that the student will be well-rounded, a purposeful and productive member of their college community, and comfortable working with their professors. Following is a list of colleges and universities that have enrolled Midland graduates from 2003-current: Arizona, Cal Poly, Case Western, CSU Chico, CSU Humboldt CSU San Francisco, Colorado State, Deep Springs, Dominican, Earlham Goucher, Hampshire, Linfield, MICA, Montana State Occidental, Oregon, Pratt, Princeton, Rocky Mtn. College Sarah Lawrence, Smith, St. John's (NM), Stanford, Swarthmore Syracuse, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara UC Santa Cruz, Vermont, Warren Wilson, Wellesley, Whitmam Willamette, Williams, Yale The list of colleges who have accepted Midland graduates is much longer. The bottom line is that Midland students are as well prepared for college as any graduates in the country.
