Midland lecture at UCSB

On Tuesday May 5, Midland faculty member Paul Gelles gave a lecture to a UCSB Anthropology class, Indigenous People and the State in the Americas. The UCSB Anthropology students had read Gelles' book, Chumash Renaissance: Indian Casinos, Education, and Cultural Politics in Rural California. Gelles gave a lecture on his book and showed and discussed his film, Transnational Fiesta: Twenty Years Later.
