Our Thanksgiving Tradition

If you’ve been to a Midland Thanksgiving before, you know how special it is: experiential learning opportunities, performances, more turkey than you’ve ever seen in your life, and a whole lot of love and gratitude. Thursday is a community event where alums, parents, and friends are welcome.

**NEW EVENT** Friday, Nov 28, 2025 | All-Community Workshop: The Future of Midland 8:30am – 11:30am
Alumni, families, and friends are invited to sit alongside students and faculty for a strategic conversation about what comes next for Midland.  Join us Friday morning for an all-community workshop on Midland’s future, followed by a farm-to-table lunch. Bring your stories, your ideas, and your vision for our school.

Student Leave Information

Wednesday through Sunday, students may leave campus with their families after they have checked out with the Faculty of the Day. Students may stay off campus overnight on Wednesday & Saturday night by permission.

Below are the times students may check out with family.

Wednesday Nov 26 | After dinner assembly (approx 6:10pm) – 9:30pm or 8:30am Thursday if staying overnight
Thursday Nov 27 | After the performance (approx. 4:00) – 9:30 pm
Friday Nov 28 | 4:00 pm – 9:30 pm
Saturday Nov 29 | 12:00 pm – 9:30 pm or 11:30 am Sunday if staying overnight
Sunday Nov 30 | 8:00 am – 11:30 am

Note:
Students staying off campus Wednesday night must return to campus no later than 8:30am on Thursday morning (Thanksgiving Day).
Students returning Saturday night must do so by 9:30 pm. If staying off campus overnight on Saturday, students must return to campus by 11:30am on Sunday morning for assembly, work period and other all-community events. Parents are welcome to attend and help out with work period!
