We believe that a Midland education should be accessible to families of all economic means. Holding that belief as one of our core values, we remain committed to enrolling an economically diverse student body and are proud to say that we offer robust need-based financial assistance.
Over half of our student body receives need-based financial assistance, totaling over $1.75 million each year. Awards range from several thousand dollars to nearly the full cost of tuition and are given to families from a broad range of income levels.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with your questions; we are always excited to help navigate the road ahead.

Qualifying for Financial Assistance
The Financial Assistance Committee determines and allocates financial assistance based on a family’s need by evaluating the family’s ability to contribute against the total cost of attendance (tuition, fees, books, etc.) We base this analysis on factors such as family size, income and expenses, assets and liabilities, cost of living and the number of dependents enrolled in tuition-charging schools.
Midland reviews each family’s circumstances annually to ensure that every student’s aid package is appropriate, which means families must reapply for financial assistance each year. Once an award has been made, Midland is committed to providing that amount through the remainder of the student’s tenure at Midland, unless there is a drastic change in family income or situation.
All custodial and noncustodial parents and/or guardians must complete the Financial Assistance (FA) Application through Clarity. Court agreements regarding payment of educational expenses may be considered, but Midland cannot always honor such agreements. Financial information is considered confidential and is not shared among parents who do not share a residence.
Please note that for qualifying families we offer fee waivers for both the Midland application and the financial assistance application. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to learn more about fee waiver options.
