Phil likes to work in an intentional community with his dog, Ren. He enjoys problem solving and networking technology. Midland provides the best opportunity to combine these attributes. Prior to taking on his current role, Phil taught math at Midland for 18 years. Phil is the face behind Midland’s home-built internet set up, which he and students installed in the hills above Midland’s campus. When it comes to technology, coding, and the like, Phil is the guy to work with!

Phil’s favorite Midland produce are the tomatoes, particularly because they make the best tomato soup (using Gloria’s recipe, of course). He describes himself as quirky, a thinker and observer, and would someday like to retire to San Sebastian, Spain. His personal motto is: “when in doubt, go on a walk with a dog.”
