Andrew was drawn to Midland by the opportunity to be a member of a community that aligned with his core values.  Living simply, working with your hands and back as well as your heart and mind, being near the wilderness and places of solitude, and being surrounded by nurturing people, has grounded him here.  He looks forward to being of use, being inspired by others, and sharing his skills as a craftsman, designer, adventurer, naturalist and gardener.

Andrew’s favorite spots on Midland’s campus are his new home situated right next to the workshop, and anywhere on the trails. He is happiest when exploring the outdoors and engaged in a project he loves, and truly enjoys getting in his camper and exploring places in North America, from Baja to Nova Scotia. A secret talent that most people don’t know about Andrew is that he’s actually amazing at cooking breakfast! That really explains why on a Sunday morning, you can usually find him listening to Celtic music and making brunch, usually after an early activity.
