Reggie is happy to begin a new chapter at Midland school as a History teacher. Motivating students through content, skills and or ideology is a passion. Being involved in Education for the past 20 years; as a coach, trainer or teacher, Reggie has learned first hand the joys of helping guide students to their goals. It has also been a time of self-reflection for him, as he was able to help students in ways he believed he wasn’t helped when he was younger. From opening the gym 2 hours before class in the morning, to providing insight on how to meet fear or doubt (preparation), or from simply being an ear or shoulder to lean on – Reggie has found this field gratifying.
Reggie considers the world his classroom – he has traveled to over 15 countries and enjoys international culture via the cuisine and the great game of basketball. After a three year stint as a professional, Reggie became a skills trainer, traveling to a variety of countries working with young student athletes. Some of the countries include Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, China, Indonesia, Sweden, Greece, Bosnia, and many more. He speaks French and is learning Japanese. One day he hopes to speak at least 5 languages fluently! When not in the classroom, Reggie dedicates his time to his family, especially his active 2 year old Rhea.
