Nhi Nguyen is an adventurous math and science teaching professional with 15 years of experience. Born in Vietnam and raised in Los Angeles, Nhi enjoys sharing her knowledge of math, science, cooking, planting, traveling, chicken husbandry, bee keeping and more with everyone she encounters. She loves to inspire students and parents to explore their curiosities and experiment beyond their comfort zone. Her goal as an educator is to facilitate a spark of curiosity in students and then help grow that spark into a sustaining passion. 

A learner of nature and cuisine explorer, Nhi has traveled around the globe from Paris to the Gobi desert, to outposts of the Amazon, in order to immerse herself in diverse cultures and taste local cuisines. Seeing the need to reduce our footprint on the planet, she is currently testing ways to self-sustain in the chaparral setting by raising velociraptor descendants on compost and scraps, growing food in her yard and taking care of bees. 

She is excited to be a part of the Midland community where she is able to weave her interests in sustainability, ecosystem interdependence, culinary skills and nutrition into engaging, authentic math learning experiences for her students.
