After completing her BA, Charlotte toured internationally as a professional circus artist for 5 years before returning to academia and completing her MS in mathematics. She has been at Midland since 2017, teaching every level of math from Algebra 1 through Differential Equations. She also coaches the circus sport, and is the faculty organizer for Midland’s student council. Her children, Freya ’35 and Tomas ’37, are so lucky to be growing up in the Midland community.

Charlotte has always had a love for math, and she’s grateful to have had a series of rad women math teachers in high school who inspired her to become a math teacher when she grew up. Charlotte, like a few current Midland students, was homeschooled until age 15; she’s passionate about climate change, access to education, income equality, immigrant’s rights, environmental protection, to name a few! In her free time, she enjoys making jam, pickles and pesto from the Midland garden, and has a secret skill at transcription (typing verbatim in real time).
