What are your favorite sports offered at Midland?

“I enjoy playing soccer the most. I played competitive soccer my whole life and although I miss some aspects of it, being able to play against boys has been very fun (it’s a co-ed team). Also the coach has made me fall in love with the sport all over again. It became fun again instead of a more stressful super competitive atmosphere.” – Pearl ’22

“Outdoor Leadership, Soccer, and FRSH (Fitness, Running, Surfing, & Hiking). All of these sports/activities allow you to get outside, and either exercise or enjoy Midland’s property, which is one of my favorite things to do.” – Melia ’21

“I have played varsity volleyball at Midland for all four years. Before coming here, I played club and was a benchwarmer almost the whole season. Coming to Midland, I have gotten a lot more playing time, and also gotten a lot better over the years. I have tons of fun teaching younger students how to play, as well as learning myself.” – Maisy ’20

"I really enjoy cross country. The best part about sports at Midland is the team experience. Everyone is so close with one another, it makes the practices and games/meets super fun." - Emma '23

"My favorite activity at Midland so far has been Outdoor Leadership. It was a great introduction to wilderness life, and it also provided some of the most exciting journeys of my life. " - Gael '23

“Volleyball and cross country are the sports I enjoy the most. The team spirit is super positive and fun, even if we don’t always win.” – Rabbit ’22

“Basketball and Horsemanship are by far my favorite sports; I love working with our team, and it is so much fun to develop those friendships and get your hands in a game once in a while. Horses is always fun, given the interaction with the horses, and the bonds you form with them.” – Gillian ’23

“I love farm because it’s a calm activity that allows me to contribute to the community through a very essential way, with food.” – Charlotte ’22

“The horse program!!! I had been jumping horses for about seven years before I came to Midland, and I felt like I fell right in to the horse people community. I’ve learned so much about horse behavior in the short time I’ve been at Midland, and I hope to bring my horse down soon.” – Alison ’24
